Installation too quick

I've tried to install 9.10, burnt it on a DVD-R Disc with 4.93GB Space and the speed at 0.4x. I put the disc back in and the installed using Wubi. This went rather quick especially seeming i was installing 15GB. Took about 3 minutes. I decided to try boot it into it anyway and get an error saying something about the boot file but ive uninstalled it and forgot the file name. Is this because the disc im trying to burn? Or maybe because im trying to install on a External HDD?

My guess is it's because you're trying to install in on an external harddrive. If you're uncertain about wubi, there's quite a few videos up on youtube. Did a simple search (http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=install+wubi+on+linux&search_type=&aq=f).

Well ive tried it on a partition and same thing. It must be the disk seeming i got 8.04 working. Thanks anyway.
