I have been running UNR on my Acer Aspire one for a while now and I am not a huge fan of the setup. It works but sometimes I just want the normal Ubuntu setup. So has anyone installed Ubuntu 9.10 on a netbook? I think I could get more use out of the "normal" ubuntu than the UNR. I know there was a desktop switcher that used to do this function but it is no longer available. So my main question is anyone using a netbook with the full Ubuntu "normal" install and not the Netbook Remix?

Hallo.
Haven't done this myself, but I have seen a number of posts on the topic. As far as I can tell, as long as the computer isn't too resource starved, there is no reason for it not too work.

I am running Desktop 32bit on my Samsung NC10, works excellent. I didn't like the menu layout myself so I used desktop version.

It works great! (Why wouldn't it?)
