Installation problem

I tried installing ubuntu 9.10 which i got through mail on my friends pc.I used wubi to install inside windows 7.But after restarting,after the pulsing ubuntu logo i get weird colours all over the screen.same thing happens when using live cd..

sys info:
AMD athlon processor LE-1620 2.40 Ghz
2 GB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce 7025 display adapter.

Try booting in safe graphics mode. I had a problem when my Nvidia card is connected to a DVI monitor.
