In this forum, apparently, lot of people are fighting to make something work and to find drivers. Ok MEPIS is famous for its amazing hardware support, but on the other hand. The very best would be to have a way to put all ref. of drivers into one single database:

example:
you type lsusb
you get the reference from lsusb
you check into the database with this ref, eg. 06e1:a371
you install the specific driver. ./configure ; make ; make install or apt-get or ... modprobe
* Solved / 3 minutes*

Ready or willing for an openlinuxdrivers project?
