Looks like rms is giving talks in Buffalo, Rochester, Troy, Schenectady, and Albany later this month (http://www.fsf.org/events/rms-speeches.html). None for those of us downstate yet. :-(

He'll be at RIT on the 24th: Free Software in Ethics and in Practice (http://www.fsf.org/events/20100223rochester).

Edit: probably also worth mentioning that DebConf10 (http://debconf10.debconf.org/)'s being held in New York City in August. More info on a wiki (http://wiki.debconf.org/wiki/DebConf10).

FOSSCON will be held at RIT in Rochester as well. http://www.fosscon.org New York State is awash with FOSS goodness this year.
