I'd like to see some examples of creative logins. Here's mine:http://i559.photobucket.com/albums/ss36/MooPii/P1000143.jpg

There must be someone else with something other than the standard login screen ? Show me the creative Linux mindset.

Might want to try customizing gdm or kdm before asking someone to show off their "cool" login screen. You should also try customizing wdm.
To be honest though, I use the default.

I use the default one.. since it's a logon screen.
Tho, most of the time I just SSH to my box and login that way.. soo...

I prefer xdm to either gdm or wdm, because I use Oopenbox as my window manager and it fits the austere overall theme. But GEE WHIZ feel free to insult me Psumi. I know my login isn't the wildest or most daring , just my simple changes to make it my own. Minor Changes:http://i559.photobucket.com/albums/ss36/MooPii/P1000145.jpg

Ooooo... xdm. Lovely shiny eye-candy.
The current GDM doesn't have a lot of scope for modifications, so you're probably asking in the wrong place for creativity in login screens.
