I Thought of this earlier today. I Used an X-Acto knife to cut it into the right size. Still need to trim it up some.

Proof that duct tape can fix anything.

Does having a Windows key really bother people that much? The only thing I want to know is, how can I map Gnome's Applications menu to the Windows key so I can have the same functionality in Linux? As of right now, it doesn't appear to do anything.

If you have a keyboard with the letters painted on (as most) fine sandpaper is the best choice.

It is not my picture by the way, I just googled it. It is less hassle that taking a (bad) pic and uploading it

You can in System > Preferences > keyboard shortcuts and in the individual application (eg amarok's global shortcuts).
It is called "Super" key

Yup you can map it.

On my laptop, using Compiz the 'Super' and the 'Tab' key rotate what is on that desktop..

I'd like to see someone do the sanding trick then put the ubnutu ring or something linuxy on it.

Free Stickers (http://system76.com/article_info.php?articles_id=9) can fix the same problem, and look slightly better than duct tape might I add.

Proof that duct tape can fix anything.

Or Hundred-mile-an-hour tape... For those of you in the military. And it cant quite fix anything, for that, you need tape AND string.

Go to keyboard shortcuts under preferences, scroll down to the desktop section, select the 'Show the panel's main menu' and press the windows key after you select it.

Yeah, it always annoyed me a little bit when the Windows key appeared. Did it start out on Microsoft keyboards and then just gradual start appearing on every keyboard? Or is it some agreement between Microsoft and keyboard / laptop manufacturers?

I just think of the Windows (aka: Super) key as a Wavy plus sign, but it doesn't bother me, in the slightest

yellow and green sticker. Three blades of grass, it came from a packet of animal stickers, very much filling up space.
