i might just try this and at worst waste a half-hour.
but maybe someone can point out some pitfalls.
recently i created a persistant liveUSB from 9.10 Desktop's live usb creator.
initially i was more interested in ubuntu-studio though. So i have installed some programs and removed some others and all is (by and large) well. Now i'd like to do the same to the kernel, i.e. change the kernel to the "-rt" kernel. can i just do that in synaptic from the liveUSB or will that just kill everything?
