I installed 9.10 from CD to USB attached hard disk. If I boot the system with the USB drive attached I get the nice GRUB menu to boot Ubuntu or WinXP. If I try to boot without the USB drive attached, I receive the error:
GRUB loading.
error: no such disk
grub rescue>
What can I do to allow WinXP to boot without the USB disk attached? I would rather leave GRUB installed so when I do attach the USB drive I can boot Ubuntu.
