Mounting mp3 player as a hard drive

Hi,

A update broke gphoto tools that was the way i mounted my sansa view now all it does is mount the player as a sansa pmp and no folders display.I tried to edit fstab and just mount it as a hard drive but it still shows up as a sansa pmp.Could someone help me to mount this player as a hard drive.

is there no way for ubuntu to just see this a a hard drive or usb drive?

My sansa clip will mount like a usb drive.Maybe have a look at your system settings in your sansa or reset to factory defaults.
