ok, i'm trying to reinstall ubuntu 9.10 on my sony vaio VGN-NW150j laptop( specs found here:http://www.laptopmag.com/review/laptop/sony-vaio-vgn-nw-series.aspx?mode=specs) i'v had ubuntu installed on it before and never had this problem. Anyway, i burn the disc no problem and i try booting off the disc to dual boot 9.10 and vista, so i get the busybox error, i do some googling and on various forums it said a fix for this is to delete the quiet splash command from the boot command and add "all_generic_ide" (no quotes). so i try it and the splash screen runs for awhile and then it gets to usbhid:v2.6: USBHID core driver and then the busybox screen pops up again.i can't find any posts of anyone else having or fixing this issue, bear in mind i'm kinda new to linux and my spelling and grammar are bad.
any help would be appriciated.
