Have been struggling a bit with this...

I have managed to set the x11vnc with Karmic 9.10 but annoyingly, anything I do (pre or post login) remotely, is shown on the main screen. I remember it was quite easy to set up True (multiple) vnc connections on a RedHat system a year ago.

I am looking for a guide to set up remote desktop/vnc that allows me to login as a user and use the desktop in Ubuntu 9.10 but without any of this affecting the current (login screen or other) session running on the connected monitor.

Thanks in advance for any help!! :)

Do you want the 'vncserver' package instead of 'x11vnc'?

Did you find an answer to this? I would like to set up the same thing but I need to connect from both a Windows and Macbook.
