Hi All!
Don't know if any of you can help me with this, but various parts of my issues have been posted recently, but none of the solutions are working for me,
I'm running a WUBI install of 9.10 inside XP. XP is still running as well as XP ever does, and until I logged out to commit some Updates, Karmic was running beautifully, except for a GRUB2 issue.
The GRUB2 issue is that, although "GRUB2-update" had been run in the terminal, and had retuned a 'Successful', on boot the GRUB2 menu was not appearing, instead offering the "GRUB2:> Prompt".
Until the update, this could still be dealt with by manually pointing it at the kernel and the initrd file, however now whilst this seems to be working okay at first, it gets a little into booting and throws:
"Kernel panic not syncing: VFS: unable to mount fs on unknown block (1,0)"
Here's hoping someone can help, any assistance would be greatly appreciated!
