Latest uptdate of the Kenel .... Blank screen

Hi,

I just update the system this morning, and when I restart the notebook, the login page change and I got a blank screen with a movable arrow pointer.

How to I get back with the gnome panel?

I tried gdm start but I get the following message:

** (gdm-binary:2012): WARNING **: Failed to acquire org.gnome.DisplayManager: Connection ":1.50" is not allowed to own the service "org.gnome.DisplayManager" due to security policies in the configuration file

** (gdm-binary:2012): WARNING **: Failed to acquire name: bailing out

Try following these instructions:

You'll need to run those commands from a terminal. Try Ctrl+Alt+F1.
(you'll need to write down commands first). Ctrl+Alt+F7 gets you back to GUI. Or boot to prompt from recovery mode in LiveCD.
