Firefox working slowly on 9.10

Since upgrading, Firefox has been loading very slowly. Does anyone have a fix for this?

I also have problems witht the BBC iplayer (apparently no current fix) and uploading to Flickr (a separate thread).

Thanks for the advice. I've had a look at the page, and done a couple of things it suggests. I'll keep working on it.
