What do you mean, it's not possible? Have you gone to the Shipit site (http://shipit.ubuntu.com) and made a request?

As it says in this sticky post (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1297163), there have been changes to the Shipit service which Canonical thinks make it better for new users who actually need a free cd (because they can't download the .iso for some reason). If you've never had a cd from them before, you ought to be able to order one now. But think first: do you really need a free cd?
