My laptop has a 1280x800 screen. That's to little vertical screenestate for running Wine games in a 1024x768 virtual desktop unless i move the gnome panel to the left side. Back with 8.10 open windows was represented with the programs respective icon, like firefox, terminal, open office etc. and no text. 9.10 seems to think text is more important and truncates the title to .. instead. Not very useful. How do i fix that? Also, Applictions Places System takes up a lot of space. Can i reduce those to icons too?
