I am trying to nstall on subject machine
I have the latest ISO burned
CD bootup was not working so I created a boot diskette and put Smart boot manager on the diskette
I boot up to the menu and all is great
I have managed to choose to boot from the CD and I do remember seeing the CD menu and I have tried to come up under UBUNTU which did not work and then I tried to just install after a reboot (HARD POWER DOWN)
now when I power up if I choose to powerup on the hard drive Windows ME comes up which is what I am looking to remove and put UBUNTU on.
If I choose to boot off of the CD I get
- scrren that it is booting from cdrom
ISOLINUX 3.63 Debian-2008-07-15 copyright 1994-2008...

Screen goes blank
after a bit I et UBUNTU with circular symbol to left. I rhink it id the splash screen and there it is stuck
screen eventually blanks and enter brings the splash screen back
