I recently upgraded from 9.04 to 9.10. Several of the init.d scripts are not running on boot:
apache
cups
samba
proftp
I've put a reference in S99rc.local to re-start the services, but it doesn't run either. Once logged in, I can manually start them (sudo /etc/init.d/apache start) and it starts right up, it just is not happening on boot.
Any ideas? Any thoughts on how to troubleshoot this? I can't seem to find the startup log.
