I am loading Ubuntu off a Live CD 9.10 on an 800 MHz pentium III machine and am running into an error.

When I get the wallpaper loads (screenshot 4 in the link below) the installer ever appears and the computer never advances from this point. I know the CD is fine because i have loaded Ubuntu on a separate computer successfully with the same CD.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

have you tried changing the boot-options through F6 or F4? ie. noapic etc.

I have gone through all the possible boot options which all result in similar stalling. I'm questioning; I notice that there are approx. 6 option (noapic being one) which can be checked, what combination of these would be the best to try?
