+ there's (still) no good adblock implementation.
There's flashblock however for the desperate ones.

Yeah, I have to agree. I would like to give Chrome a serious go but the two extensions I simply can't be without are NoScript and Adblock.

Oh, FireGestures too.

I tried installing it today, but removed it right away when I saw it uses it's own window border and buttons instead of using the window manager's. That's really not OK for a Linux application.

In Chrome's preferences just change it to use the GTK theme:
Options->Personal Stuff->Appearance

Same here. It's a decent browser, but seeing add banners all over web pages is not my cup of tea.

"This extension will have access to your private data on all websites."

..ehm, OK? What kind of private data do they mean? Login details or what? History? This is a prompt that comes up when you try to install any extension. Should one be worried?

Tried it, it's not nearly as effective as adblock, and can be fine grained easily.

Anyone know of anything that lets you select links by typing.

Like when you press ' in firefox, or even just numbers them like when you press . in elinks.

Don`t like to touch the mouse(pad) if I don`gt have to.

F6 and just start typing in the addressbar. It's even smarter than Firefox's, and one of the main reasons I like Chrome. I barely touch my bookmarks anymore, it's faster just to hit F6 and tap in the first couple of letters.

Thanks, but I mean links on the page.

For example if I`m reading a thread here and I want to go to the next page I just hit ' then shift+. to give me a > then hit enter.

Or to Select this thread from the Cafe front page just ' then Go will select the link.
