I'm running Kosmic Koala right now. Initially I installed Ubuntu 8.10 and partitioned the harddrive to keep Windows. But now I would like to get rid of Windows and just run Ubuntu.

I tried to put G-Parted Live on a dvd but it wouldn't start - does it need to be on a CD?

I have the Ubuntu 8.10 CD still and tried to run GParted from that but couldn't find it on there.

Any suggestions or way to go about doing this?

Thank you!

i believe you must install gparted in interpid. in terminal sudo apt-get install gparted. it will be in system-admin. then use it to format the windows partition
