My saved emails are MIA...Help Please!

I'm using T-bird v2.0.0.23. Somehow all my saved emails were replaced with my email signature file folders. Under "Message Storage > Local Directory" is my path to my email signature file. How do I get to my profile, and then restore my saved email folders?? I'm still a novice at Ubuntu...

Go to "Account Settings" in "Edit" menu. Select "Server Settings" under your account. On the bottom-right you'll see a field labelled "Local directory". Click the browse button next to that and navigate to your mail folder. Mine is located at "/home/lidex/.mozilla-thunderbird/9kg3c33d.default/Mail/pop.fuse.net"
