I've installed Ubuntu 9.10 Destop today on my Toshiba Satellite Laptop. I've used 2 drives for Linux: 2GB as swap space, and 10GB as root (EXT4). Now After booting for the first time, activating the proprietary ATI Drivers, and updating the system, when GRUB prompts me, I choose the latest kernel (2.6.31.16); however, the white Ubuntu logo pops up, and after a few seconds, a black screen comes and the system freezes. I noticed that the Caps Lock's light keep flashing.
