So I accidentally deleted both of my panels in Xubuntu, top and bottom

How can I restore them back to default?

Settings > Panel will show you a li'l square looking thing made up of smaller rectangles. Click on the ones you want to appear - top, bottom, sides, or any combintaion.

I am using Ubuntu 9.10 a I am having the same issue with "panel" hanging. Essentially, I tried to auto-hide one of the taskbars and everything locked up on the taskbar that is left..ie Applications, Places, System. I even tried to reinstall as a last-ditch effort but even that is failing now due to a "permissions" error. I originally set up a dual boot between MS Vista and Ubuntu and it was working beautifully! I use Ubuntu KK on a desktop and no issues there. Help?

I fixed my panels by performing the tasks on the link here and it worked like a charm.
