Are there Facebook and Google plugins for Kopete? If so, how do I get them? I'm a Linux newbie so please be gentle... ;)

I don't use any of them myself, but they should be part of the supported protocols.
Here (http://userbase.kde.org/Google_Talk_support) are instructions on how to configure it for Google Talk (XMPP). Supposedly you need to install that qca-tls package to get encryption.
As for Facebook, you can't go wrong. (two entry fields; username, password)

Thanks for the info. I ended up getting FB to work through Pidgin so I'm going to use that instead of Kopete.

Anyone know how to use the encryption piece for Kopete? I'd rather use Kopete b/c of the video support it has plus I like the UI a little better then Pidgin. I use pidgin as well, but Kopete is still my fav.
