I'm relatively new to ubuntu and i have very basic knowledge of its workings and terminal use so bear with me here if i use words wrong or something :p

I'm running 9.04 on an old 1.8 GHz GQ (Fry's electronics generic brand computer "great quality" ironic title but that's another story) with a gig of ram, and frets on fire freezes when i look at my song library after i put close to 300 songs on it. so i deleted some using the "sudo nautilus" command and they're gone from my archive but they show up as broken links in the game; making it difficult to manage and there are several duplicates for some reason. when i click play game there's close to if not more than 500 songs listed (everything has a duplicate and only 38 are still actually working.

I'm not sure how to phrase a question for this other than simply:
help please?
