Hi :)
I just installed ubuntu today. I like firefox, but would prefer to have opera- but I can't get it to install. It shows "Error: Dependency is not satisfiable: libqt3-mt (>= 3.3.4)" so now I can't continue to install. I am new to all of the Ubuntu world, so bear with me-- I don't know what to do...

How and where are you installing from.

I downloaded opera from opera.com, tried the versions that were supposed to work with linux-based computers... I've tried googling and my search led me here...

I might've... I've tried a bunch of different downloads- if not, could you explain where I can get it and what it is?
