I just installed Ubuntu a little less than 2 hours ago, and I already love it. I have gone on with running my online website, and ran into a problem when I had to edit a picture. I opened GIMP as it is the only picture editing program installed on this operating system, and I have a few questions with it. I know this is probably a stupid question, but how to I change the colour. When I click the color palette to change it, it's changed to red, but when I use the Paint Fill, or the Pencil tool, it still comes out as the tan-brown colour. Any help? Thanks guys. ;)

Please don't tell me you have shut yourself in a bathroom cubicle before and been unable to find and/or operate the latch. :P

The big red square is the foreground color.

Right now the bucket tool is selected. Notice "FG color fill" is checked.

You might want to check these:

Lol, thanks for your help. It seems that I was doing exactly that before, but it still didn't work. I just feel so stupid for not being able to do something that simple.
