I would like to know the quickest & most reliable way to get Xubunty installation CD.

yes.

I would prefer having the CD. i installed Ubuntu over the weekend and Gnome desktop-- or something won't let me use Update Mgr. to install updates....other downloads won't happen as well when I try to visit sites.
