Hi to all.

I've got a couple of problems with my gnome desktop.

First of all, the unsolved question of "no desktop icon":

Actually, as you can read, those icons appeared thanks to a workaround. Still waiting for the real solution.

The other problem persists, despite that workaround, and presented before my desktop icon disappeared. I've got a symbolic link icon on my desktop which hides behind the thumbnails of documents or images present on my desktop. The way to get it in foreground is to right click on desktop and select "Clean up by name".
It's quite annoying since I use that icon each time I use my computer and each time I start the system I have to resume this icon before using it.
In case of being obliged to make 3 clicks each time before using that folder, I suppose I'd better removing that link... since it's supposed to make you save mouse clicks, not to make you click more.

Any suggestion?
Thanks
