Hello All,

In earlier versions it was possible to prevent gnome automounter from opening window for newly inserted flash drives through gnome-volume-properties. But now in Karmic I don't see such option, there is no "storage" tab and gnome-volume-manager is quite old - 2.24 when other gnome components are 2.28

Is there any way to inhibit this auto opening?

Thanks.

I don't know of a way to change the setting for flash drives only. You may want to open Nautilus and navigate to Edit > Preferences > Media. I have unchecked both the "Browse Media When Inserted" and "Never Prompt or Start Programs on Media Insertion" options, and I don't get a window when inserting a flash drive.
