I'm trying to find a software to keep track of my work projects, but I can't find anything.

I found three categories of software:
1. the small task management ones, which are a bit too simple (no information about the contacts/clients, no categories, no task grouping in projects, ...)
2. the huge ones (perhaps collaborative), designed for small businesses (I am self employed and alone ;) ), which are too cumbersome (for instance planner: am I wrong or I can't have a list of all the projects?!)
3. the web-based ones, which I don't care for, since I don't need collaboration and I don't see why I should wait for server response and send sensitive data over the net.

So, all in all: is there someone that can suggest me a decent software in between class 1. and 2.? :)

Thanks!

I would go for these 2

XPlan (http://www.vmlinux.org/xplan/)

Thanks for the quick answer! However...

Is the first one frozen since 2000? :/
The second one (ConsultComm?) doesn't even have the concept of deadlines...
