I am trying to make a bootable USB of Ubuntu 9.04 with UNetbootin, and (looking through these forums) I have found several posts saying it doesn't work, or that files/folders need to be renamed. These posts don't seem to say the same things, and I was wondering if anyone could tell me how to "fix" the usb install so it will boot correctly?

Also, one of my family's computers has Windows XP installed, and I wanted to use the live usb on that computer without wiping out windows, etc. Does a live usb automatically install the OS to the hard drive?

Thanks!

You can easily create a live usb, looking at the instructions in
http://www.pendrivelinux.com (http://www.pendrivelinux.com/)
Nothing gets installed unless you say so.

I just made the live usb and, aside from the screen resolution not cooperating, it worked fine. Thanks!
