Searched around, everyone else seems to have options ... :(
I can only get the grub rescue WHILE trying to boot from a cd ( EDIT : NM.. Maybe my CD rom is fried....)
Okay, I redid my system with a live cd but after realizing a specific program wasn't going to run with this 9.1 version, I tried to revert back to 8.04
And as I was it seemed to have froze during the partitioning or wiping of my drives... i let it sit forever but decided i had to shut down...
It doesn't boot, and if i choose CD to reinstall either from both the CD's I have.. it just comes up with
Error: file not found
grub rescue> Don't know many commands or options from here but typing
ls
returns
(hd0) (hd0,5) (hd0,1) (fd0) (fd1)
"Error": no such disk
what now?
