Have Ubuntu on my netbook and love it so I decided to switch my main box over. Tested it out with the live dvd 64bit. In live mode everything worked great. Saw all my hardware so I started the install.

Everything went well until, towards the end it got to "Removing ttf-tamil-fonts" and just froze up.

Should I reboot and try again?
What should/could I do different?

Thanks in advance!

Ok. Tried the text only install. The first attempt froze while installing base system. Second attempt I tried a different drive. That time I got a grub error. Tried the 16bit version. Got "Failure to install grub" error.

Crazy thing is the live dvd works like a charm. Even the wifi.
