I just got done reading from a Computer Security book that told me to mount as many drives as possible in a write protected mode and it got me thinking. Is there away to make a custom cd for booting Ubuntu?
:idea:
I.e. i would think that
/boot and also /etc would be good things to boot from the cd so if the computer is compromised your kernel and configuration files can't be changed. I would still have a hard drive for write required items likes /var folder.
Any Thoughts?
