wont work after update

Installed the Ubuntu 9.10 and it works fine until I update it. After update wont load, gets stuck and some code appears on the black screen. Reinstalled it twice and the same problem after update. What is wrong? May be I shouldn't update it? Anyone has similar problem?

I had an issue similar to this on one machine however I did the initial boot after the reinstall in safe mode, it built every thing that I needed and then on the restart everything ran well.

Post the BIOS screen. Do you have multiple os - post the grub selection!!

You need to give some updates for Other users to help ya
