YaST anyone have good experiences with it?

openSUSE and YaST. I love SUSE, but YaST was incredibly buggy installing the OS. several packages failed, but thankfully the built in restore utilities worked to fix the system. I was installing from the DVD. Anyone else have this issue? or is my computer to blame?

I don't know. My only experience with SuSe was a bad one. The display setting were all out of whack and YaST worked but very slowly. I know a lot of people swear by SuSe, I am not one of them. My rpm distro of choice is good 'ol Fedora. Your problem was probably just some weird bug that gets fixed with updates but who knows.
