I'd like to make a custom boot floppy, primarily for Ubuntu 5.10. I have the CDs and need to know what files etc I should put on the boot floppy. I've tried all the other suggestions IE Toms, SBM etc. I'd just like to make my own and move on.
Is there any where I can find instructions? I have Googled it until Google is sick of me.
I have a Intergraph 8000 server with quad Pro Pents and 1gig ram, has 8 SCSI hard drives. This machine cannot boot from the CD and no options in the Bios, contacted the OEM and they say even a flash won't do the trick. Server has a SCSI cd, I have the drivers for that and the rest of the hardware, but I am not sure how to go about making a custom boot floppy for Ubuntu. I've posted this on various forums including this one but no one seems to be able to steer me in the right direction. I've decided that the only way is to build my own. Any help would be much appreciated.
