For those that have used Linux Mint 8, how is it (compare to Ubuntu, duh)

why not download a copy and try it yourself, a million people could say it stinks, but you think its amazing.

Its just Ubuntu with a few tweaks, nothing really special

I was playing around with it today but I never used 7 so I don't really know what they changed It's pretty glossy. I've been giving ubuntu 9.04 to people as a temp OS when they're having problems accessing windows but I'm going to switch to Mint 8. One of the most aesthetically impressive default setups of any Linux distro I've seen. Kind of a bad way to judge something, but first impressions can really leave a mark on a new user. I had a (dumb) friend who was so disgusted by the earthy ubuntu setup that the only thing he used it for was to find a Windows XP torrent to download. Sad but true.

64 bit-less, apparently.
