View Full Version : [ubuntu] GPG cannot download keys through firewalls

I searched the lists for a work-around, but to no avail.
Any
gpg --keyserver
here ends with
gpgkeys: HTTP fetch error 7: couldn't connect to host
True, but I have no say about the firewall. And nobody will open that port for me.

What I'm looking for, is an alternative: To download the key elsewhere and import it. But I have not found any HowTo for that.
I already tried on another machine, but then everything is written and inserted into some HOME/.gnupg/ file; and I don't know how to export from there and import into another box.

Any hint appreciated,

Uwe
