Looking really good. Still has a few bugs to iron out, but it's promising.

Couldn't get it to work on my LG phone, but tried it on the desktop (hint: microemulator) and loved it.

5's been released huh? I've been using the Beta for some time now. I'll have to go grab 5 final. I do quite a bit of web browsing through my phone, including reading and posting to these forums, and Opera Mini is so much better than my phone's built-in browser. I've been using Opera Mini since version 1, and it gets better all the time.

I wish Mozilla would do a Firefox Mini for java-running phones. I know they do a browser for Windows phones (called "fennec" I believe) but an Opera Mini type Firefox would be great. Come on Mozilla! Firefox Mini FTW!!

I love the fact that they've included an onscreen keyboard. I think my phone may not quite have the muscle for it, but maybe the official release will run better.

Yep, been using Opera Mini 5 Beta for quite a while...way better than my phones default crappy browser.

It does have some bugs tho, apparently it just stops working for me randomly after a couple months and I had to reinstall from jar. Also, I found out that when using my webui in utorrent on it, that if it has a special characters that arent ascii the page wont render.

I wish I could use it thad a download manager instead of it switching to the default crapyp phones version.

Other than those issues for me it's hecka nice!

For those who don't know this already: Opera mini is the thin client and all traffic is routed through opera's servers, while opera mobile is the full fledged opera browser adapted for mobile use.

File sizes of mini & mobile are about 300kb & 5mb respectively.

mini is a java program so runs almost anywhere while mobile is targeted towards smartphones and has different installers for different OSs.
