I tried to install Ubuntu 9.04 on a relatively low powered machine. It has enough RAM for the graphical installtion. However, halfway through the repartitioning process ( I went for the dual boot option) it gave me an error and the install process was aborted. What can I do to install ubuntu on this PC?

Was there an error message, either on screen and or in a log, and if so, what was it?

I just saw the error message on the screen. I then rebooted the PC.
The error message said something to the effect of
"an error occured during partitioning. The partitioning process was aborted"

Try manual partitioning. Currently the disk might be messed up a bit depending what the error was and when it happened during partitions creation.

They may as well not have an error message!
