Hi, I am running Ubuntu 9.10 the latest one on my computer. My friend wants ubuntu on his computer. He is currently running windows Vista. I know I can download an installer form the ubuntu website and burn it onto a cd and then run the cd on his computer. But i was wondering if there was a quicker way to get the file, since I already have Ubuntu on my system. Is it possible that since I am running ubuntu I can easily transfer my files onto the cd and then run the cd on his computer to install ubuntu??

thanks. I just dont want to wait for the 700 megabyte download to finish.

Try the torrents, they're faster.

Ubuntu 9.10 32-bit (http://releases.ubuntu.com/karmic/ubuntu-9.10-desktop-i386.iso.torrent)

Ubuntu 9.10 64-bit (http://releases.ubuntu.com/karmic/ubuntu-9.10-desktop-amd64.iso.torrent)
