I just installed Ubuntu 8.10 On my PS3 yesterday. I have never used ubuntu or any Linux OS before, but I thought it would be cool to try something new. ANYWAY, I just downloaded Gnash 0.8.6 but have no idea how to install it (or do anything with it for that matter) can anyone help me out, and point me in the right direction? All I want to do is watch youtube. (and maybe listen to pandora if gnash will let me)

Thanks

P.S. I have been lookin all over the web for help. If you just have a link that could help, that would be awsome too.

You dont need gnash... in the adobe site theres a linux version of the plugin.. or the easy way:

Go to System/Admin/Synaptic Package Manager (packages are the software in linux), sear for "flash" and install the "flashplugin-installer" Easy!

stay away from gnash & swfdec. You can open a terminal and run
sudo apt-get install flashplugin-nonfree or if you are running 64 bit Ubuntu see here (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1259102)
