View Full Version : [ubuntu] Compiz cube just rotates current desktop

HI

I have 4 desktops. I have set up compiz desktop size to 4 horizontal, 1 vertical and 4 desktops. However, when I rotate the cube, it just rotates the current desktop I'm in, instead of rotating through all 4. Likewise, expo shows the same desktop 4 times. In both rotate and expo, it shows one desktop with the application I have open, and the other three with it minimised in the bottom panel.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Wayne

Nope, that didn't do it.

i think you may have your programmes set to appear on all desktops.

right click the title bar on your windows and make sure you have "only on this workspace" selected. if it says "always on visible workspace" then the window will appear on all four.

Sounded promising, but I checked, and they are indeed set to "only on this workspace".

Ah, that did it. Thanks! I though it was supposed to be 4 desktops.

Welcome. BTW did you visit the link at my signature ? It may be more interesting to set up things in CCSM.
