Yesterday I did an upgrade (via the upgrade tool) from 9.04 to 9.10
Everything seemed to go ok and the system rebooted fine. I believe the issue came when I ran the 'computer janitor' cleanup tool and removed some of the recommended packages that were not in use.
Now when the system starts up I come to a flashing login screen.
I see others have had this issue and have recommended removing the xorg.conf file (so as to get a default one) but this hasn't worked for me.
Others say it is a Nvidia issue but I do not have nvidia card. This is running on acer one netbook (I believe it is intel video)
Help appreciated.
