Hello,
I am having a big problem. I installed an applet for my panel tonight in gnome that was going to make my top panel like the menu bar in mac OS X, because I love the mac GUI. Anyways after I did that things worked great.

I then restarted my system and gnome locked up everytime it tried to enter. Thus I switched to KDE. Now that I am in KDE I have been trying different things such as reinstalling gnome and such. The problem I am having is that gnome will not reinstall and according to the package manager isn't installed.

Thus I try to install it and I get this error when I try to install the gnome-desktop-environment

gnome-desktop-environment:
Depends: fast-user-switch-applet (>=2.22.0) but it is not installable
Recommends: fam but it is not going to be installed

I really need help guys, I really love gnome :(

Thanks,

Dustin

Try to install fam manually and then install gnome-desktop-environment again
