Hi,

I installed the latest Ubuntu upgrade successfully and was busy working when the installation completed, then without restarting the system i installed the Clamtk Anti-virus, later when i rebooted the system it is taking me to the command prompt screen and saying BOOT FAILURE, Failure to load kernnel. How can i restore the system without reinstalling Ubuntu. Please help.

That's not a problem with ClamTk; it doesn't mess with grub or the kernel... there are other problems. Hopefully someone else can help with that. I don't have much experience diagnosing boot failures... sorry.

dear the_phenom,

Thanks for your interest.

After going through lots of similar problems like mine in this forum, I have realised that it is not a problem with Clamtk AV, it probably was the problem with the latest update. So many others too are complaining about the same.
